The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) is working towards building a healthier India. It is helping to address the limited institutional and systems capacity in India by strengthening education and training, advancing research and technology and facilitating policy and practice in the area of Public Health. PHFI is headquartered in New Delhi with national presence through its constituent units of regional Indian Institutes of Public Health (IIPHs) and Centers of Applied Research in core public health themes. The Foundation, established in 2006 as a public private initiative, is governed by an independent board comprising of senior government officials, eminent Indian and International academic and leaders, civil society representatives and corporate leaders. Project Brief:

National Health Mission (NHM) Madhya Pradesh and PHFI (New Delhi), have undertaken to implement the “Certificate Courses in Management of Non-communicable diseases like Women’s Health, Thyroid disorders and other courses in chronic conditions which will be launched in Madhya Pradesh after state approval. PHFI will be responsible for the implementation of the overall program for imparting the training to medical officers working in government health facilities (as proposed by NHM, MP). The program will be delivered through trained and eminent Endocrinologists, Cardiologists and Pulmonologists of Kolkata (names will be proposed by State Health Officials) on a once a month modular basis contact program. The Certificate Course in Women’s Health (CCWH) and Certificate Course in Management of Thyroid disorders (CCMTD) are distinctively designed training program for primary care physicians (MOs)that comprise of four to six study modules with dedicated sessions on designated weekends or suggest. The courses involves a panel of national experts and regional faculty renowned Endocrinologists/diabetologists/Medicine specialists of the country. The programs have been implemented in a standardized manner across the state, a total of 7 divisional centre will designated for session conduction and each centre being facilitated by one/two regional faculty. It is to apprise the physicians with latest developments in the field of these non-communicable diseases and to deal with it more efficiently in their day to day undertakings.

Deliverables:

The major roles and responsibilities of a Data Associate include-

  • Serve as a point person for data entry, management and reporting to Data Manager, Senior Program Manager, Project Manager, M&E Coordinator, Program Director and Senior Program Director/ PL.
  • Prepare templates, data entry and prepare the reports and returns.
  • Assist in training for regional training centre staff and monitors for data feeding and forwarding.
  • Assist in planning of activities and schedule field activities with Senior Program Manager, Project Manager, Program Associate, Program Officer and Program coordinator.
  • Review filled questionnaires and give feedback to data collectors.
  • Track, Collate, enter and generate program reports, returns and presentations.
  • Undertake data entry, editing, cleaning, analysis and letter and report writing.
  • Keep record of all equipment and ensure their timely maintenance/ calibration.
  • Maintain documentation of the field activities, e filing and preparation of progress reports.
  • Assist the project team for resolving day to day operation.
  • Report on a day to day basis to the Project Manager and Program Officer/Coordinator.
  • Design protocols for the data safety, security and regular backup.

  • Attend and participate in stakeholders meetings, and other meetings as needed.

Qualification:

Essential

  • Graduation in any subject

Desirable

  • One year data management experience
Experience:

Desirable

  • One year experience in health sector data management/Higher qualification

Annual Salary (CTC) will commensurate with available skills and fitment of the incumbent as per the selection process.
