The role holder will manage the global procurement and deals management process undertaken by Transactional Sourcing (TS) Team. The role supports the sourcing activity for all clusters and businesses and requires efficient negotiations skills with vendors and business users.
It is very important too that there is a very high expectation to work closely with the business users, Sourcing Teams Leads and vendors for the execution of each type of deals in a lean and the most optimal way for the firm. Execution of each of these opportunities would benefit Barclays financially as well as for its reputation.
o Develop a thorough understanding of Barclays procurement structure, policies and procedures.
o Partner with the Business Users, Catalogue management, Sourcing Leads and Contract Management to execute deals.
o Provide support to ensure connectivity between the completion of deals and its execution in eProcurement and associated systems
o Work with GSSM Spend and Performance Team to provide ongoing reporting and monitoring of deals executed by transactional sourcing against target, analyse and identify opportunities for further improvement across commodity categories, business units and regions
o Ensure supplier compliance to agreed deal, initiate/facilitate resolution in case of non compliance, and resolve escalations
o Suggest process enhancement to improve TS process.
o Collaborates with GSSM and the business stakeholders to achieve savings targets, improve supplier performance, and maximise supplier collaboration to drive the best business outcomes.
o The role holder will be required to build and maintain a strong operational and strategic network with the Sourcing colleagues to improve TS process and capability.
o The successful candidate should ideally be tertiary qualified in the areas of commercial negotiations, finance or commercial sourcing activities.
o They must have a proven record or equivalent level of experience in a similar financial services firm or multi-national where they have been responsible for a broad commercial remit of commercial sourcing activities
o The successful candidate should have substantial related experience in technology, business development, procurement or deal management. They should have a proven ability to conduct engagement/communication with suppliers and spend categories.
o Relevant years experience with Supply Chain practices, the relevant Financial Services experience, strong networking and stakeholder management skills.
o They should be recognised internally as technical expert and SME in the areas of TS and have a good understanding and experience with respect to Category Sourcing.
o They must understand the commercial value drivers over a medium term timeframe with a good knowledge of competitors and current industry practices.
