The FAKC (Finance and Accounting Knowledge Center) was set up in 2007 as a part of the CFO Global Delivery strategy to provide offshore delivery to Line of Business and Enterprise Finance functions. The capabilities hosted include Accounts Payable, General Accounting & Reconciliations, Management Reporting & Analysis, Research & Analytics, Financial Transaction Processing, Finance Systems Support and Supply Chain Management.
Over the years, the scope of FAKC has been expanded to include operations for other enterprise control functions like Human Resources and Risk and Compliance.
The Category Research COE Team Developer will provide strategic support to the Category Management team as it relates to the category research and intelligence function. Will also be responsible for performing research, reporting and related intelligence for the assigned Categories.
Responsible for coordinating centralized research and intelligence gathering for the Category Management Team
Proactively works with Category Managers and Senior Category Managers to understand current and future needs, and to develop an approach that will maximize analytical support during upfront strategy development and ongoing strategy execution
Serves as main Procurement subject matter expert for the Category Research COE
Manages ad-hoc request pipeline and the impact on capacity levels across the team as a whole, especially during peaks of high demand
Reviews and approves written communications and presentations summarizing research results before providing to Category Managers
Tracks completion and lead times for all team research activities as an input into performance measurement reporting

Experience Range: Minimum of 2 years of experience in Procurement and/or Research, Data Analysis discipline
Strong secondary research and analytical skills to gather relevant market intelligence on diverse industries including IT, professional services, marketing, etc.
Ability to extract relevant data/information from various paid as well as freely available online data sources such as industry associations, statistical websites, trade journals, etc.
Advanced Excel skills
Ability to translate short and long term needs of Category Management into clearly defined COE activities
Strong communication (verbal and written) skills, with ability to present COE outputs to multiple levels of management
Flexibility to meet strict deadlines but also handle ad-hoc or unplanned requests
Knowledge of Share Point, MS Office, Ariba or other applications supporting Procurement Operations
Excellent Communication (verbal and written)
Sound Report Writing skills and ability to complete requests with little direction other than desired output
Work Timings: 11:30 to 20:30 hrs IST
