Project Management Associate Manager Data Services Jobs Vacancy in Hsbc Hyderabad Jobs Details:

Job Purpose

Project Leads are involved at all stages of the project lifecycle - change initiation, design and delivery, through to benefits realisation and will support more senior project managers. They may be located in BAU teams as well as Project teams.

Project Leads may have direct reports and may be supported by Business Analysts, Programme Management Office (PMO) staff or admin support staff.

The Project Lead will hold most or all of these responsibilities:
· Define the project approach, building stakeholder buy-in around the project plan, commitments and changes.
· Manage delivery proactively, balancing scope, schedule, communications, budget and risks.
· Define resource needs, responsibilities and schedules.
· Work within project controls and procedures.
· Work within established quality assurance processes.
· Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
· Report progress, issues, dependencies and risks to project leadership and committees as appropriate and make recommendations to influence decision making in order to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realisation.
· Provide guidance and to maintain a focus on how the project aligns to wider programme objectives.
· Adhere to HSBC project methodology at all times.
· Depending on the field in which the Project Lead is located, a working level knowledge of a particular field may be required.

Principal Accountabilities: key activities and decision making areas

Impact on the Business/Function

  • Manage and drive the shaping, planning and delivery of the allocated data projects
  • Work closely with Group Data Services stakeholders and GB/GF CDOs to ensure business requirements are understood, translated and delivered as tooling capabilities
  • Work closely with Group Data Services stakeholders and GB/GF CDOs on tooling capability adoption and exploitation
  • Coordinate delivery and dependencies between other Data Management projects and other relevant programmes/initiatives
  • Own and develop individual project plans and other required documentation as required for project governance
  • Manage and resolve dependencies between projects
  • Manage and coordinate communication and training
  • Manage the delivery pipeline
  • Manage the delivery team
  • Track, control, monitor and deliver to these plans
  • Identify and manage programme RAIDs and escalate as appropriate
  • Manage and lead recruitment
  • Manage and coordinate budgeting cycle

Ensure all project portfolio reporting to other forums is consistent and aligned

  • Create and maintain stakeholder distribution lists, map to communications and stakeholder management plans and co-ordinate communications distribution
  • Represent data services in governance forums as required

Leadership & Teamwork


· Work closely with the Data Services Programme Management team and Group Data Services sponsor
· Interact effectively with your delivery team, GB/GFs, Group Data Services and IT groups
· Co-ordinate input/output from GB/GF members of working groups and project governance teams
· Support other Data Services workstreams in driving group data agenda

Operational Effectiveness & Control:

· Manage workload efficiently
· Escalate issues in a timely manner

· Plan and co-ordinate meetings, workshops and off-sites
· Track overall costs within budget
· Maintain artefacts on SharePoint in line with audit requirements

Management of Risk

· Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.

· The jobholder will also adhere to and be able to demonstrate adherence to internal controls. This will be achieved by adherence to all relevant procedures, keeping appropriate records and, where appropriate, by driving the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, including issues raised by external regulators, and internally identified IT security risks.

· This will be achieved by adhering to all relevant processes/procedures and by liaising with compliance department about new business initiatives at the earliest opportunity. Also and when applicable, by ensuring adequate resources.

Observation of Internal Controls

· Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.

· The jobholder will also adhere to and be able to demonstrate adherence to internal controls. This will be achieved by adherence to all relevant procedures, keeping appropriate records and, where appropriate, by driving the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, including issues raised by external regulators, and internally identified IT security risks.

· The jobholder will implement the group compliance policy by containing compliance risk in liaison with Global Head of Compliance, Global Compliance Officer, Area Compliance Officer or Local Compliance Officer. The term ‘compliance’ embraces all relevant financial services laws, rules and codes with which the business has to comply.

· This will be achieved by adhering to all relevant processes/procedures and by liaising with compliance department about new business initiatives at the earliest opportunity. Also and when applicable, by ensuring adequate resources.

Qualifications

Experience / Education


· Degree qualified and 5-8yrs experience
· Experience working in data focused teams, delivery projects or programmes across different sectors within Financial Services
· Experience with data tooling implementation, in particular tools used to discover, analyse and report on metadata
· Experience with data tooling operating model implementation
· Experience with Data Management Tools desirable
· Experience managing teams, planning demand and managing resource capacity
· Solid delivery record
· Ability to work effectively under pressure with competing and rapidly changing priorities
· Ability to develop cohesive working relationships with internal/external stakeholders
· Ability to bring analytical rigour and structure and effective solutions to poorly-defined problems
· Typical qualifications would include a Bachelor’s degree / equivalent experience
· Experience working with senior stakeholders in a global environment is desirable
