Operations Payroll Administration Intermediate Rep Pune Jobs Vacancy in Bny Mellon Pune Jobs Details:
Directs the support team in checking and maintaining all payroll records for accuracy and completeness. Identifies and corrects complex errors. Leads the support team in ensuring work consistently complies with payroll implementation and administration policies, procedures and the varying laws and regulations of multiple assigned regions. May serve as the team lead and assign activities to more junior support staff. Provides technical guidance and mentors and assists them with the organization of assignments and duties. Reviews and advises on the findings of more junior team members. Completes a large volume of payroll processing duties, including auditing timekeeping records, maintaining records of time and attendance, updating employee records, processing deductions and developing deductions reports. Processes completed are generally complex in nature. Responsible for processing executive compensation, including deferred compensation, stock options, restricted stock options. Identifies opportunities to improves processes, policies and systems and makes recommendations to payroll professionals and managers. Provides a senior level of assistance to payroll colleagues, employees and managers when responding to inquiries about complex processing issues. Liaises directly with payroll professionals and related vendors to provide direction on service-level agreements. Primarily resolves non-standard payroll issues including performing in-depth research to determine appropriate responses to questions regarding the Time and Attendance system and inter-company transfers, among others. Addresses complex inquiries escalated by more junior team members and works with professional and managerial staff to develop solutions. Independently conducts data gathering, research and complex analytical tasks to support payroll processing activities and may assign tasks to more junior team members. Maintains databases, electronic files and records. Compiles documentation and required approvals/sign-offs. Focus is on ensuring the correct processes are followed, checking for work quality and ensuring accuracy of completed work. Ensures the accuracy of work completed by more junior team members. Audits and verifies the accuracy of external and internal reports. Prepares periodic reports of earnings, taxes and deductions, and maintains records of leave pay and nontaxable wages. Leads the support team in conducting periodic audits of payroll records and compliance with governmental and Company policies. Assists Accounting with questions and issues relating to the payroll ledger and bank records. Maintains financial controls and audit trails for all payroll transactions and coordinate payroll related audits with external auditing firm. No direct reports;; assists more junior team members and may serve as the team lead. High school/secondary school or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required;; bachelor s degree preferred. 3-5 years of total work experience preferred. CPP designation preferred.
