Business Unit Introduction:
Our Globally integrated IBM Cognitive Process Services team provides offshore, nearshore and onshore solutions to Client delivery service requirements across industries and geographies. With various streams under F&A (Finance & Administration) we excel in Record to Report (R2R), Procure to Pay (P2P), Order to Cash (O2C) along with Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), Recruitment Process Outsourcing HR/learnings and Integrated Source to Pay Operations for our Clients.

Who you are:
A Transition Manager leads and is accountable for the success of an assigned transition project/subproject.
He/she is responsible for an array of activities including solutioning of transition, initializing and planning projects, developing project cost structure, tracking and reporting project deliverables, managing risk, applying project management processes and tools and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and with high customer satisfaction, participating in global initiatives.

What you’ll do:
Communication: Facilitates effective communication and working relationships within transition team and account teams; Establishes and maintains relationships with customers, account team and 3rd party suppliers/interfaces

Leadership and Resource Management: Acts as the single point of contact for transition on the account; Communicates to HR recruiting requirements. Identifies workforce skill requirements to deliver transition scope. Manages the transition team in terms of meeting the project deliverables. Assigns tasks to project resources. Ensures that workload is managed. Tracks actual effort expended and time frames against baseline

Initialize and Plan the Projects: Develops the over-all transition project plan and guides the Knowledge Transfer leads in creating the per process/work stream project plan. Identifies dependencies of deliverables with other project teams. Execute and Control the Project. Leads the execution of the project plan. Manages the project scope and schedule. Manages the cost-effective delivery of the scope as defined in the transition’s project schedule and budget

Risk and Change Management: Leads the tracking and creation of the action plan for the identified risks, issues and gaps of the project. Identifies and manages change against the transition scope and budgets

Financial Management: Works with the finance analyst in ensuring that the project is within budget. Cost-effectively meets IBM’s obligations under the contract

Project Scope and Deliverable Management: Leads the success criteria review for every project stage. Prepares documentation necessary for a smooth handover to operations (i.e. Stabilization Plan). Schedules status reports. Prepares internal risk management procedures, change management procedures, issue management procedures, problem management procedures and quality management procedures. Maintains IBM business controls for the transition.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Provides leadership with a clear definition of the solution, risk management plan, cost estimate plan. Excellent stakeholder management skills Proven Project / Program Management background - experience of running F&A outsourcing transitions Lead the Transition Project Management Office Coordinate transition work streams, activities, manage the integrated transition project plan, tracking all pre-go live work streams including IT, tools and application deployment Monitor the transition staffing and financial plan and reporting to clients and IBM stakeholders on Transition progress Creates Cost Effective Transition Solutions that can be delivered “First Time Right.”

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

Experience in the BPO industry would be an added advantage Prior experience in the Finance and Accounting domain would be an added advantage Quality management/Six Sigma experience would be an added advantage PMP Certification - desirable
